Legendary arthouse film director Ingmar Bergman died 30 July 2007 aged 89 at his home on the Swedish island of Faaro, his sister Eva told the TT news agency. Bergman was widely acclaimed for films such as „The Seventh Seal” (1957) and „Fanny and Alexander” (1982), which won four Oscars, including for Best Foreign Language Film.
